We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Power Apps Engineer to drive the development, governance and optimization of Power Platform solutions for our organization.
This role will collaborate closely with business partners, lead technical initiatives and ensure best practices are followed to maximize the value of Microsoft 365 technologies.
Responsibilities
- Engage with local business partners to understand processes, challenges and goals, identifying opportunities for Power Platform solutions
- Build and configure Power Platform applications and workflows, integrating with various data sources and systems
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to stakeholders to ensure effective use and maintenance of Power Platform solutions
- Report regularly on Power Platform product backlog with involved stakeholders
- Support backlog item estimation and sprint planning within the team
- Create comprehensive documentation and user guides
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues with Power Platform solutions
- Follow customer change management and life-cycle management policies and procedures
- Advise on best practices for Power Platform development, governance and security
- Act as gatekeeper of the Power Platform Governance plan, summarizing platform policies and guidelines
- Serve as ‘Community Manager’ for all Power Platform product teams
- Enforce user experience framework and standards
- Maximize solution usability and enhance user effectiveness and readiness
- Conduct research and recommend changes to improve solutions
- Proactively identify and propose business process or system enhancements with clear business cases in collaboration with partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- 5-8 years of Microsoft 365 experience with focus on Power Platform and SharePoint custom solutions
- Minimum 3 years of experience building Power Platform solutions including Model-driven Power Apps, Canvas Apps and Power Automate
- Knowledge of Power BI, Data gateways and Premium Capacities
- Working experience with DevSecOps tools and technologies such as Github, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Programming experience in JavaScript, C#, PowerShell scripting or Typescript
- Demonstrated ability to train large user audiences and mentor others
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum theory, rules and practices
- Expertise in applications and platforms within large complex environments
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in complex environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to use discretion
- Strong upward and downward communication skills
