About the Role:

CrowdStrike is a global cybersecurity leader with a mission to stop breaches through its market-leading cloud-native platform. We are seeking a passionate and innovative Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our amazing Mobile Team.

You will work on CrowdStrike Falcon for Android, a sensor providing Mobile Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) capabilities. As an SDET, you will collaborate with Software Development Engineers to ensure exceptional product quality. You should be inquisitive, focused on automation, skilled in metrics analysis, and passionate about finding product flaws.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

SDETs leverage strong development skills to build effective tools, harnesses, and specialized tests, championing automation and CI/CD pipelines.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain and improve the mobile sensor testing strategy, UI, and end-to-end tests.

  • Perform hands-on manual exploratory testing.

  • Develop and maintain the mobile sensor CI/CD pipeline.

  • Develop metrics and monitoring tools for product health assessment.

  • Identify and write specialized tests for performance, scalability, and limits.

  • Debug customer issues to identify root causes and improve tests.

  • Collaborate with product and release management for quality and streamlined release cycles.

  • Conduct rigorous product and test code reviews focused on security and robustness.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience in automated on-device UI testing, end-to-end exploratory testing, and advanced testing scenarios (power, performance, stress).

  • Proficiency in debugging issues on real mobile devices.

  • Experience developing custom test frameworks and writing high-quality code.

  • Knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Android Studio, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), Git/Bitbucket, and fundamental computer science concepts.

  • Ability to write and automate test cases, triage bugs, and define new feature test strategies.

  • Excellent communication and experience working in remote, distributed teams to ship major features.

  • Above and beyond: Knowledge of NDK, Golang, Rust.
