About the role

We are looking for a (Procurement) Taxonomy Specialist to join our Central Category team in Bucharest.

We’re forming a new team to expand our existing consultative category service offering. The team will be supporting our clients and internal stakeholders in building and reforming procurement data hierarchies, focusing heavily on sourcing taxonomies. These hierarchies form the foundation of Sievo’s data classification services.

As a Procurement Taxonomy Specialist, you would

  • Support clients in designing a spend hierarchy that matches their unique business needs and data quality
  • Review planned sourcing hierarchy changes to ensure they support the usability of the Sievo software
  • Collaborate with product development by mapping hierarchies to a central taxonomy
  • Participate in internal development initiatives for central category services in alignment with other Data Management teams and Product Development
  • Work alongside your team to build, monitor and maintain quality of category hierarchies in Sievo
  • Work with a combination of Sievo’s own proprietary tools and Microsoft SQL

 

What we are looking for from you

  • Previous experience with building, or consulting on, data hierarchies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – you are a convincing and confident communicator having the ability to influence and convince stakeholders
  • Experience with client-facing work
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • You’re a proactive collaborator who is not afraid to take initiative and get things done
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines, while recognizing when to take time off
  • Fluency in English – other language skills are appreciated

This is a full-time position that provides a great opportunity to make an impact and contribute in building our new Data Management team from day one!

Typical salary for the position starts from around 6500 RON/net per month, depending on skills and experience. This is a hybrid role, and candidate is expected to be based in Bucharest.
