As a Technical Content Engineer, you will produce clear, concise developer documentation, tutorials, and how-to guides that align with demo applications and GitHub assets. You’ll create and share content that you feel proud of and actively amplify and communicate your learnings while ensuring all content is technically accurate, engaging, and useful for the developer community.


Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated technical writing/editorial skills with strong attention to detail.

Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC); practical ability to run and validate technical demos or sample apps.

Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with coding, cloud platforms and databases.

Preferred: experience with Camtasia or related video editing tools.


Write and maintain developer documentation, tutorials, and quickstarts that align with code samples and demos.

Collaborate with engineers and developer advocates to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and completeness in content.

Script, storyboard, and assist in recording short demo videos and screen-captures; coordinate with stakeholders to manage publication workflows.

Build feedback loops through GitHub issues and community channels to continuously improve documentation based on user input.

Typical tasks and objectives for this role include:

Documentation Development and Maintenance:

Draft, update, and organize technical documentation, including user guides, API references, tutorials, and FAQs.

Ensure docs are discoverable, logically structured, and kept in sync with evolving demo code and assets.

Tutorial and Guide Creation:

Develop concise quickstarts and in-depth guides that help users understand, install, and use demo applications or technical products.

Run and validate sample applications to ensure instructions work as expected.

Video and Multimedia Support:

Script and storyboard short walkthroughs or demo videos to illustrate key content or product features.

Collaborate on recording and editing videos (screen capture, voiceover, post-production) using Camtasia or similar tools.


Technical Collaboration:

Work closely with sales engineers, developer advocates, and other stakeholders to gather source material, review for accuracy, and update content as requirements evolve.

Content Quality and Improvement:

Gather, analyze, and iterate on feedback via GitHub issues, pull requests, and community discussions.

Track content usage, user sentiment, and update schedules to address recurrent questions or pain points.

Publication and Process Management:

Oversee the editorial workflow for publishing documentation and videos, including version control, peer review, and release notes.

Ensure all docs and media meet accessibility and style guidelines.
