We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Planner who thrives in dynamic and high-paced environments. This is a perfect opportunity for someone eager to optimize transport routes, improve fleet management efficiency, and ensure smooth communication across teams.
You will:

Optimize transport planning by combining transport orders into efficient trips, ensuring the right trucks (own or subcontractors) are allocated for maximum productivity

Act as the communication bridge between dispatchers, clients, and depots to resolve any operational issues quickly

Plan and schedule transport routes, ensuring the best possible conditions for each trip, while respecting legal regulations

Manage transport orders in the internal Transport Management System (TMS), confirming and processing all relevant details

Monitor daily operations to ensure all planned trips are executed as scheduled and update TMS accordingly (e.g., cancelled or additional trips).

Fill in planning gaps by incorporating additional activities like container trucking, trailer washing, or maintenance (in consultation with Venlo office).

Supervise the dispatch team, ensuring effective communication and coordination to optimize the use of the company fleet and subcontractors.

We ask:

A proactive and solution-oriented personality who excels in a high-paced, dynamic work environment

Advanced English skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite

Fast learning abilities, with flexibility to acquire new skills and knowledge

Experience with transport planning or logistics management is a plus, but not mandatory

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently with various departments and stakeholders

Knowledge of transport management software or systems (TMS) is an advantage.
