Your Impact:
As a Deal Desk Manager, you will play a key role in supporting Sales teams across the region by shaping and validating License and Cloud deal opportunities. You will ensure proposals meet affordability criteria, comply with revenue recognition and legal requirements, and align with internal policies. Acting as the central point of coordination between Sales, Finance, Legal, and Regional Management, you will help secure approvals, draft non-standard proposals when needed, and participate in negotiations to finalize contractual paperwork. Your expertise will drive consistency, profitability, and efficiency throughout the deal lifecycle.
What the Role Offers:
- Create and advise on innovative pricing strategies and structures across all revenue streams to meet customer requirements while maximizing profitability.
- Understand products, pricing, and licensing structures to provide accurate guidance.
- Analyze pricing and deal structure trends and advise senior decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, Global Services, and Support to ensure consistency and value across regions.
- Communicate with Sales and senior executives to review transactions and secure necessary approvals.
- Own the preparation of P&L for new licenses, Cloud deals, and renewals, and issue approved pricing and contractual paperwork.
- Participate in negotiations of commercial business terms with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment of technical, financial, and legal aspects.
- Enhance existing processes to streamline the sales cycle and improve efficiency.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Background in Deal Desk, Contracts, Bid Management, Sales, Accounting, Legal, Purchasing, or Sales Operations.
- Experience working with senior management and building strong relationships with Sales teams.
- Ability to quickly read and interpret revenue contracts.
- Strong influencing skills and experience working with virtual teams globally.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (Spanish, German, or French) are a plus.
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to draft commercial language in contracts.
- Cloud and/or Software industry experience (SaaS and On-Premise) is highly advantageous.
- Expert proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
Education and Experience:
- University degree in Finance, Business, Law, or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree or professional designation (Accounting, Finance, or Legal) is a plus.
- Ideally 7+ years of experience in a Deal Desk or similar role within an international software company.
- Clear understanding of software accounting guidance and commonly negotiated legal terms.
