Compare is year we started a new series of meetups hosted at our Bucharest office together with the Backend developers of Bucharest community.
We kicked off the series in April, when over 40 members of the community joined the event to listen to our colleagues, chapter leads Neculai Stanciu and Irina Stan, and IT area lead Alin Pandichi, as they discussed the journey of a Java developer with Rust (programming language) and shared best practices for speeding up time to market in large scale Java systems.
In June, another session took place, this time focused on Go-powered backend systems, covering topics from modernizing legacy infrastructure to extending Kubernetes with custom operators. We were also excited to be joined by members of the Cloud Native Bucharest community.
Over 30 backend and cloud-native enthusiasts listened to the two insightful talks delivered by Petrică Voicu, principal software engineering manager at Azure Cloud Storage, and Mihai Gogu, platform engineer at AdoreMe Tech.
