Leviatan Group: A Culture That Grows People, Not Just Projects

Share

We continue our series of interviews with employers who build healthy, authentic, people-centered cultures. Today, we spoke with Sandra Tiron, Employee Experience Manager at Leviatan Group, a local organization that demonstrates how sustainable performance begins with genuine care for people. In this interview, Sandra shares her professional journey, what makes Leviatan’s culture so unique, and how it feels to work inside an organization where people are truly seen and supported.

1. What role do you currently hold at Leviatan Group?

I currently hold the role of Employee Experience Manager at Leviatan Group, a relatively new position within the organization, but one that perfectly reflects my professional journey and the natural evolution of the organization.

2. Tell us about your professional background.

I have been with Leviatan Group for almost twelve years, during which I have grown alongside the organization. I began as an Assistant Manager, then moved into the Admin HR area, a role that also involved administrative and logistical responsibilities.

After returning from maternity leave, the organization had grown significantly in team size, business level and complexity, and I found myself in a moment where I no longer had a clear role defined as before. It was, however, the moment when my mentor and manager, Alina Podaru, offered me the trust and direction I needed to step onto a new path: Employer Branding and Employee Experience.

That is how I arrived in the role that suits me best.

3. How would you describe your first day and the journey until today?

My first day was emotional but warm, much like the culture we have today. Looking back, I feel that I have grown together with the organization. Every stage has been a more mature version of myself and of Leviatan. Today, I feel extremely fortunate to be part of this big family, where no day resembles the previous one and extraordinary things happen constantly.

4. What attracts you most to the organizational culture?

I am most drawn to the human energy within Leviatan. People are involved, warm and authentic. It is a place where you genuinely feel that you belong, and that is not something that can be imitated. It is built over time through real, not declarative, values.

5. How important is diversity?

Diversity is a natural reality here. People from different departments, fields, generations and with different passions, all supported by the entire team, work toward the same objective. Our culture emphasizes respect, collaboration and autonomy, which allows diversity to function naturally.

6. If you could change something through magic, what would it be?

I would probably add more time. Time for reflection, for connection, for planning. The rhythm is intense, which sometimes makes us forget to celebrate things that seem small but truly deserve to be celebrated.

7. How does HR contribute to an employee experience that retains talent?

I truly believe that HR, especially the Employee Experience area, contributes through the quality of the moments we create for people:

- the first days in the organization onboarding

- the relationship with the team, supporting team connections

- belonging to internal communities and activating communities where people can get involved

- development programs

- the recognition of special moments such as baby showers, Pancake Day, Reading Day and others

When these moments are coherent and authentic, people stay because they feel they are working in a place where they are seen.

8. What wellbeing and personal development initiatives did the organization have in 2025?

2025 was the year in which we strengthened internal programs such as:

- the Mentorship Academy

- internal communities: Motion Squad Sport and Movement, Artizanii Creating and Sharing Joy, Zen Flow Activities for Mind and Soul, Seeds of Hope Care for Community, RitWell Balanced Nutrition and Health, Guardians of Nature Environmental Care, HERizon the women’s community of Leviatan Group

- internal activities such as the Steps Challenge by Stepathon and Pancake Day

- emotional support initiatives and thematic activations by Hilio

All of these contribute to a healthy and connected environment.

9. What future plans does the organization’s have for attracting talent?

Our strategy focuses on strengthening onboarding and offboarding programs, continuing internal development programs and amplifying the communication of internal initiatives externally.

10. How do you celebrate moments of success?

At Leviatan, success is celebrated together. With joy, with good energy and with gratitude. Whether it is about a completed project, an anniversary or a small milestone, we always find a way to mark the moment in an authentic and simple way, but one that has impact.

11. What happens when a colleague encounters a challenge?

We help each other. Truly. Everyone contributes with an idea, a solution or a resource. We do not leave anyone alone. I believe this is one of the greatest strengths of our team.

12. Three ingredients that make you proud to be here.

- The people

- The positive energy

- The development opportunities

If I had to choose just one: the people. They are the engine of this organization.

13. Is salary still the main factor when choosing a job?

Salary matters, but it is no longer the only criterion. People seek meaning, culture, a strong team and autonomy. Leviatan offers a healthy balance between all of these.

14. How do you ensure that people find meaning in their work?

Through visibility into the impact they create. Through recognition. Through projects where what you do genuinely matters. Through a culture built on the idea that we are in this together.

15. How is transparency promoted?

Through constant communication, team meetings, access to relevant information and a culture in which questions are not only allowed but encouraged.

16. How important is mentorship for a young professional? Do you have programs?

It is essential. Mentors shape mindsets. This is why we created the Mentorship Academy, a program where experienced colleagues guide newer team members in the right direction.

17. What do you appreciate most in a new candidate?

Attitude. Openness. Willingness to learn. Everything else can be developed.

18. What advice do you have for candidates who want to apply to Leviatan Group?

Come with confidence. Be honest, curious and ready to grow in a team where involvement and respect are real values. Leviatan is a place where you can grow beautifully, if that is truly what you want.
